HM also owns and operates a Heidelberg Spectrophotometer, one of the few in the US.  Unlike densitometry which reads dot density, this equipment reads actual color.  The Spectrophotometer can match colors to a degree ten times greater than the human eye can detect.  Matching color at the beginning, middle and end of a press run is digitally perfect for the ultimate in color consistency.

Our newly renovated prepress department utilizes the industries finest technologies and a streamlined workflow system to craft the highest level of print reproduction and color matching.  Computer to plate technology, Kodak Approval Proofing and all of the latest software on the market keep us in tune with the demands of today’s designers and print buyers.  HM’s desktop specialists maintain ongoing training regimen that couples a high technical aptitude with experience and an attention to detail.  

HM also offers Virtual proofing, utilizing the Insite software technology.  This online system allows our clients to proof for text and content over the internet – up to seven people at a time viewing the same proof and able to communicate and make changes in real time in front of each other.  This brings a whole new dimension to our already razor-sharp turnaround times.

If getting your finished print piece where it needs to go, at the exact time it needs to get there is important, HM will get it done.  We have programs in place to create on-demand delivery for your print materials.  We will store your materials, pull and drop ship them in predetermined quantities to any destination you choose – as often or as seldom as you like.  Nominal storage and pulling/shipping fees allow us to customize a program to suit your specific circumstances and budget.   

With an in-house casual workforce of 150 trained production specialists at our disposal, large jobs and fast turnaround jobs are not a problem.  All hand assembly work is performed in our building under our watchful eye for consistency and attention to detail.  From simple folding and taping to complex multiple folds and gluing every piece comes out stunning.  We can also insert premium incentive items into your print piece.  Pens, food, toys, and the like are done routinely.  Highly sensitive materials, including confidential promotional programs with strict release dates or materials of significant financial worth are handled confidentially and safely with our detailed security policies.

HM Graphics discerns between two types of security – building security and client materials/job content security. 

Building security is maintained with locked doors in the entire building, except front reception area, and employees having digitally keyed entry to two other building entry points.  All building entry points are monitored by camera 24/7.  New employees are educated on safety during their orientation and HM regularly addresses building and employee safety with current employees as an ongoing element to business.

Client materials are secured and/or kept confidential as needed via a customized system that may include, but is not limited to;

1.      Employees annually sign confidentiality agreements as it pertains to the content of the client materials they handle.  This includes showing of materials or speaking to the general public about materials prior to their release to the market by the company.  Penalties for breaking this clause includes automatic termination.

2.      Cameras are installed and monitored in work areas where sensitive work will be performed.

3.      Work areas where sensitive materials will be handled are locked from the general population of HM Graphics and accessible only by the job supervisor, CEO and CFO.

4.      Work counts are performed for monetarily valuable materials or other sensitive materials.  Employees are handed specific numbers of materials to handle/assemble. Upon completion of their work shift, finished work and the materials must be counted back to a management team member to match the count of the start of their shift.

5.      Valuable incentives (such as activated gift cards) may be locked in a safe or bank vault until production begins.  All product verification of incoming premium incentives and valuable gifts takes place by veteran management staff and is documented with a security camera tape.
